Dinner fund-raiser

by Mark Rowe

The CCTV consultancy Global MSC Security reports that its Charity Gala Dinner raised £2,500 for the Elizabeth’s Footprint, which aims to raise £1m for Bristol Children’s Hospital. That fund-raising was on the eve of the Global MSC Security Conference and Exhibition on Monday evening, November 13, at The Bristol Hotel, Bristol. The dinner was attended by 98 security people from the public and private sectors.

Derek Maltby, MD of Global MSC Security says: “Each year we select a different charity to support and every year the security industry rises to the occasion and raises a substantial amount of money for a very worthy cause.” He adds: “We hoped to raise £2000 for Elizabeth’s Footprint, so to have surpassed our target is a fantastic achievement and I would like to thank everyone who donated.”

Elizabeth’s Footprint supports the Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity which provides life-saving equipment, family accommodation and arts, music and play therapy for patients and their families at Bristol Children’s Hospital. The Global MSC Security dinner had the support of the creators of Wallace & Gromit – Bristol-based Aardman Animations – as animator Nick Park donated prizes for auction.
