Superbike sponsor

by Mark Rowe

Hager, an electrical distribution manufacturer, is sponsoring the Paul Bird Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki British Superbike team.

The Paul Bird Motorsport (PBM) managed British Superbike (BSB) team will be fronted by three times BSB champions Shane “Shakey” Byrne and the 2013 British Supersport Champion Stuart Easton.

The three time Championship winning team will sport the Hager brand logo on its bikes, riders and apparel, and will take Hager to all 12 rounds of the 2014 season, with average attendance for each weekend predicted to be 50,000 people. Each BSB meeting is shown live on British Eurosport, with extended highlights aired on ITV and again on Eurosport. Customers will be able to have a VIP experience at each round of BSB with one of the teams.

Bruce Davies, Managing Director at Hager, said: “We are thrilled to be part of the Paul Bird Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki team for the upcoming BSB season. The team is incredibly competitive, winning the championship in 2012 and racing to a very close second in 2013. Here at Hager we are convinced we are joining a team that is fully capable of returning to the top of the Championship in 2014. On behalf of everyone at Hager, we wish Shane, Stuart and the Paul Bird Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki team the best of luck in 2014.”
