SDW conference voter talk

by Mark Rowe

Evolis, the French card personalization product company, will talk at this year’s SDW (Security Document World) conference about one of the largest voter card issuance projects. Several printing systems tailored to government projects will be showcased in booth L37 at the event in Westminster, central London.

During the SDW conference, on Wednesday, May 11, Ludovic Simonneau from Evolis will report on the voter card project for which thousands of biometric voter kits were deployed for the enrolment and instant issuance of voter cards on the occasion of the presidential election in Tanzania in 2015. A mobile biometric system including a desktop card printer from Evolis was used to verify eligibility of citizens in minutes, register their personal information and issue personalized voter cards (pictured). Some 24 million voter identification cards were issued in three months.

Co-speaking with Ludovic, Oostewald Immink from Bytes System Integration, will speak on managing large scale biometric voter registration projects.

Ludovic Simonneau, vertical markets manager and responsible for governmental and financial markets at Evolis (France), manages the global product and marketing strategy for those two markets, which are the largest business contributors for Evolis. Oostewald Immink, divisional operations director at Bytes System Integration (South Africa), has been involved in many election projects.
