Shaw Taylor, the original television crime fighter, is back on screen on February 18 at 7.30pm, asking viewers to, “Keep ’em peeled”.
Because Police 5 is on TV again. Running for eight weeks its focus is crimes affecting the community such as fraud, burglary and pick pocketing.
Presented by Joe Crowley, with Kate McIntyre as roving reporter, Police 5 on channel 5 will be presented in a real-life CCTV control room. The show promises hidden camera crime prevention, the secrets of the thieves’ trade, crime news and appeals.
Crimestoppers is supporting the 30-minute episodes and will have appeals from its Most Wanted site featured on the show.
Crimestoppers has seen a 26 per cent success rate on its Most Wanted site since the charity launched the gallery in 2005, and it is hoped that this added exposure will see more wanted criminals identified by viewers.
