Investigation survey

by Mark Rowe

A new report published by Perpetuity is titled, ‘Financial Investigation: Identifying the Value’. It is based on responses from 2,500 investigators. It was supported by Mick Creedon, Derbyshire Chief Constable; and Ian Davidson, National Coordinator, Regional Asset Recovery Teams.

Among the findings the Leicester-based trainers and consultants point to the extent to which crime investigation help solves other offences including murder, and how the techniques used by investigators can be crucial in helping to find missing persons. One of the biggest barriers to the greater use of this approach was a lack of awareness by senior offices about its purpose. The report contains case studies.
