CCTV for MCC

by msecadm4921

Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), owners of the famous Lord’s Cricket Ground, has chosen at its preferred supplier of CCTV the London WC1-based company ICTS (UK) Ltd. ICTS – whose Electronic Security Systems division has been working with MCC for more than five years – has been responsible for the installation and management of new IP video management software. ICTS has been delivering advice on system design, through to installation and maintenance of CCTV, access control and alarms.

ICTS were able to show to MCC the Milestone IP software, with its open protocol, ONVIF compliant system. As part of the CCTV upgrade, 120 analogue cameras were replaced with Axis megapixel cameras or converted using encoders to allow viewing on the Milestone solution. A further 60 CCTV cameras, within the catering facilities and the new Village Bar, were integrated to create a centralised system, for security and catering staff. The CCTV is monitored from an event control room, which was modernised as part of the upgrade, including nine independent camera monitoring spots and a monitor wall consisting of five 42-inch Samsung LCD monitors.

The new access control system is an open protocol Hybrid ACT Mifare solution, incorporating networkable and hard-wired controllers onto doors across the site. Controllers are linked to MCC’s LAN to provide a site-wide solution, which includes programming of MCC staff ID cards from one central location using ACTWin Pro software.

MCC Estates Manager, Bob Diaper, said: “The decision to move across to the new Milestone system was driven by the solid relationship formed with ICTS over the last five years. We are very pleased with the upgraded system, which allows greater functionality and future adaptability.”

Darren Watson, Head of Electronic Security Systems, ICTS UK Ltd, addd: “It is an honour to work with such an iconic and prestigious establishment. Our expertise and knowhow have allowed us to wholly support the client in achieving the optimum technological solution for MCC. The Club’s values of inspiration, quality, respect and forward thinking, are a shared philosophy.”
