Camelot project

by Mark Rowe

Incentive FM Consultancy is delivering what the contract firm calls an intensive consultancy project for Camelot, the licensed operator of The National Lottery. Incentive has appointed a new dedicated Head of Facilities Management (FM) for Camelot to oversee the company’s day-to-day FM operations and work with others of the Incentive executive team on this assignment.

They will review the lotto firm’s FM and make recommendations for any structural and operational service delivery changes. Camelot reported National Lottery ticket sales during September 2017 totalled £680.4m.

Incentive reviewed ten candidates for the position of Head of FM, before working alongside Camelot to jointly approve the selection of Alicia Moult, who previously held the roles of Interim Head of Facilities at McCann and Group Facilities Manager at Wonga. She joined Incentive earlier this month and was assigned to Camelot, where she will be based at the company’s head office in Watford. Her remit includes maintenance, cleaning, security, M&E, reception, print room, and office services at six Camelot properties across the UK.

A plan and regular reports will be provided to Camelot executives with recommendations and options for their FM budget and operation around the UK. Incentive will also review operations across Camelot’s buildings, before recommending the most appropriate and effective model for service delivery. The intention is for Camelot to implement its finalised FM strategy from April 2018 or sooner.

Neil Kellar, Operations Director at Camelot, said: “Camelot is unique – we’re a commercial company charged with raising billions of pounds for the public good. So, when carrying out projects of this nature, it is important that we work closely with a partner we can trust. Incentive FM Group boasts a long and established history of delivering valuable consultancy services to industry-leading organisations. We look forward to receiving the team’s expert recommendations and incorporating them into our future FM strategy.”

And Jeremy Waud, Chairman of Incentive FM Group, said: “Camelot is a highly-regulated, complex and successful business, and we are extremely pleased to be working with them on this important project. Alicia is an outstanding candidate and we are confident she will flourish in her new role. As a team, we are fully committed to delivering a number of interesting and cost-efficient alternative FM solutions for Camelot.”
