About the role

As we continue to grow, we’re always looking for talented, client-focused people who understand the challenges businesses are facing, to join our 250-strong team of Assessors.
Join our team of Assessors to help businesses safeguard the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information, whether it’s written, spoken or electronic. With your help BSI’s customers can comply with tough industry specific requirements and put rigorous security measures in place to reinforce their reputation and secure new business.
You’ll achieve this by working closely with our clients to help them improve their performance by assessing their organization or products against ISO 27001. Our people will tell you that it’s a rewarding, challenging job and there’s never a dull day – each client is different, so each day and each assessment is different.

About you

In accordance with industry requirements you’ll have two years verified information security management exposure, with experience of applying information security ie. implementing/auditing ISO 27001, and four years practical experience of IT (this may include e-commerce applications such as; electronic banking, extranets and web based database services).

In addition, you will be educated to degree level, HNC/HND qualified or an equivalent professional qualification in a relevant subject and have a comprehensive knowledge of business processes and systems with a comprehensive knowledge of business processes and management systems.

We help our clients achieve best practice so that means you’ll need to have the ability to assimilate information quickly and have a keen eye for detail. You’ll be working constantly with clients and producing reports so excellent interpersonal skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. And of course, as our clients are based in a variety of locations a full driving licence is a must as travel is an essential part of the role which could include overnight stays.
