Arrangements are already in hand to mark this new status. The Company’s Coat of Arms will be shortly mounted in the Guildhall alongside all the other Livery shields, and a formal ceremony of the grant of their Livery Certificate by the Lord Mayor will be held at the Mansion House, followed by a Celebration Lunch at The Guildhall, on May 2.

You will have seen in the December 2007 Newsletter, details of our progress towards recognition as a Livery Company of the City of London. Our Petition has been presented for consideration by the General Purposes Committee of the Court of Aldermen for their meeting this month, and we trust that their recommendation will go before the February meeting of the Lord Mayor and Court of Aldermen for approval. All being well we will become the 108th Livery Company next month.
