
Stephen Parsons
Stephen Royston Parsons,
(57) is the Chief Executive of electronics company
Redcliffe Magtronics Ltd.
Educated at Bristol Cathedral School where he was Head Chorister of the
Cathedral Choir, he then read law at Leeds University. Thereafter his career has been
principally in manufacturing industry working for Defence and Aerospace
Companies such as Vickers, BAJ & Megitt. He joined RML in 1995 and as part of a diversification strategy took the company into the security sector where it has
provided tag detection solutions together with bulk activation and deactivation equipment.
He is Chairman of Governors of Bristol Cathedral Choir School which
became the first Choir School Academy in the country in September 2008.
Charitable activities include the Dolphin Society (President in 2002) which support the elderly and the NSPCC where he chaired the Bristol
Business Group for six years. He is a trustee of Bristol Cathedral Trust and former Deputy Chairman of the Bristol Heritage Aerospace
Museum. He is a Common Purpose graduate. He became a member of the Guild of
Security Professionals in 2002 and led its fund raising activity for four years.
In June 2009 he becomes the ninth Master of the Worshipful
Company of Security Professionals (the 108th and most recent City Livery
Company).
Stephen is married with two children and one granddaughter. He is a Commandeur de Bordeaux and sings as a tenor with the Bristol
Cathedral Concert Choir and is a member of Long Ashton Golf Club and Bristol Rugby Club. He enjoys photography, opera and ballet and is a member of the Royal Automobile Club.
